Three non-profit wrestling organizations are established in Rochester, MN. They each serve a different geographic area of Rochester, based on current Rochester Public High School boundaries. There is one club for athletes who reside within the boundaries of John Marshall High School, one for Mayo High School and one for Century High School. Currently, Lourdes High School has a wrestling co-op with John Marshall HS, therefore, future Lourdes students are encouraged to participate with Rocket Wrestling Club. Other private or home schooled athletes are welcomed and encouraged to participate within their public school boundary or the organization that matches their future planned high school. All programs are looking for brand new wrestlers, as well as experienced wrestlers. We would encourage athletes of any age to try the sport.
Registration takes place in the fall, as wrestling is a winter sport in Minnesota.
- The youth (grades pre-K to 6th*) season generally begins after Thanksgiving and ends before Spring Break.
- The High School (7th-12th grade*) season generally begins in mid-November, with registration through the High School Athletic Office.
*In Minnesota, 7th & 8th grade wrestlers may participate with their High School program. Contact your HS coach if you have any questions regarding 7th/8th grade wrestling.
